Program Outlines

The 2029 World Scout Moot in Taiwan will be a youth gathering with the theme  "Bare Necessities."
This theme reflects our deep contemplation and practical implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We aspire to guide young people in understanding sustainable and minimalist lifestyles and utilize green technology that Taiwan is committed to developing.

Main Moot Site

The main moot site is located at the "Tsou Ma Lai Farm" in Tainan, Taiwan, covering a vast area of 120 hectares. The site has previously hosted several national Scout jamborees, most recently in July 2024. It can approximately accommodate up to12,000 campers.

Diverse Activities

Mountain

Taiwan is a mountainous country, with two-thirds of its land area covered by mountains. There are 268 mountains over 3,000 meters high,  In response to the development of tourism and leisure activities, outdoor education institutions have flourished across Taiwan, promoting the activities such as tree climbing, rock climbing, orienteering, camping and trail exploration, hiking, cycling, and mountaineering in the mountains and wilderness.

Ocean

Taiwan, located in East Asia, is surrounded by the sea.  The beautiful coast has unique sea erosion topography, soft sandy beaches, colorful underwater landscapes, rich marine life, and cultural landscape resources, showing beautiful scenery everywhere. Taiwan is often illustrated as a beautiful island country. Surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, river tracing, canoeing, water biking, marine ecological exploration, and beach water activities are famous in Taiwan.

Technology

Taiwan's technological development holds a significant place in the world. Through moot program, we will lead young people to understand Taiwan's technological achievements, explore possibilities for their personal career development, discuss the impact of technology on human life, and reflect on the key aspects of environmental, social resilience, and sustainable development.

Culture

Taiwan is a country where immigrants and indigenous peoples coexist and thrive. Due to its rich ethnic diversity, Taiwan is more diverse in terms of food, religion, festivals, art, culture, and lifestyles. The bustling and diverse "Taiwanese style" daily life called "Taiker" has nurtured Taiwan's culture of diversity, inclusiveness, respect, and equality. We invite you to experience the rich Taiwanese hospitality together.
