In 2004, we hosted some 3000 Rovers and young people from around the world to enjoy Taiwan’s local culture, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Now, after a quarter of a century, we eagerly look forward to welcoming everyone back to Taiwan once again!
The 2029 World Scout Moot in Taiwan will be a youth gathering with the theme "Bare Necessities".
This theme reflects our deep contemplation and practical implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The first scout troop of the Republic of China was founded in 1912, formalizing TGASC in 1934 and joining WOSM in 1937. After a hiatus due to the Chinese Communist takeover in 1949, Scouting resumed in Taiwan in 1950, rejoining WOSM. Since then, Taiwan's Scouting has flourished, hosting the 12th World Scout Moot in 2004.
Our mid-term strategy (2017-2023) focuses on enhancing youth programs, adult training, publicity, and financial stability, aiming to lead Taiwan's youth education by 2023. We earned GSAT certification in 2018, a testament to our commitment and future endeavors.
